FACTORY architecture were recently asked to prepare design proposals for an existing bungalow in Leven, Fife. The proposal outlines a series of internal alterations to the existing property and a new rear extension. The extension which takes the form of a cube has been carved to create large chamfered openings looking over the garden and to the fields beyond. The openings have been sculpted to play with light and shadow and to reduce the overall mass of the new built element.
The proposal will now be developed further with a view to submit for planning permission in the near future.
